“La Scuola della Vela” sailing school
The “La Scuola della Vela” sailing school, in Poltu Quatu since 1997 and the leading nautical school along the Costa Esmeralda since 1978, offers a highly professional service and excellent equipment. There are 5 different course levels, from beginners to expert sailors.
Take advantage of a chance to learn how to sail, and at the same time enjoy one of the most beautiful coastlines in the whole of the Mediterranean You can take part in a regatta or even organize your own. Sailing as a teambuilding leisure activity is becoming increasingly popular as part of an incentive programme. It reinforces the need for mutual cooperation and for focusing efforts on a common goal; both essential for a successful team.
Orso Scuba Diving Centre
The Costa Esmeralda is most famous for the beauty of its beaches and sea, yet perhaps the most surprising and fascinating part of its wealth is found under the sea. The Orso Diving Centre at Poltu Quatu is in the heart of La Maddalena Marine Park, an area known to divers as the “sanctuary of the Mediterranean” because of its unique flora and fauna. The northeast coast of the island of Caprera can be reached within minutes and has dozens of great diving locations, also accessible on windy days thanks to its naturally protected position.
The Orso Diving Centre will take you on a trip to this hidden world with their scuba or snorkel courses for beginners to experts. There are 5 trips every day with one or two dives, all aboard a fast, comfortable boat, created especially for this kind of activity. The diving will surprise even the most experienced divers. Marvel at the branches of the magnificent red gorgons (paramonicee) a mere 18 metres down, whilst off the coast of Caprera swim with groupers and white sea bass only 20 metres down, all surrounded by the typical flora and fauna of this wonderful underwater world. This diving experience is a unique way to remember your stay on Sardinia.
